LOOK FOR MAKITA’S OFF ROAD TEAMS ON THE PODIUM AT LAKE ELSINORE
All-new Southern California track features 100-ft. "ski-jump"
This weekend the Makita-backed off road teams of Rob MacCachren, Todd LeDuc and Brian Deegan head to Lake Elsinore in Southern California for Rounds 3 and 4 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS).
Race after race, LOORRS has consistently filled the grandstands. A full house is expected this weekend at the new Lake Elsinore track in Southern California.
The all-new Lake Elsinore track is just under one mile long and features a 30-foot high step-up jump, multiple hairpin turns, and a ski jump that launches trucks for over 100 feet! The brand new track means that none of the drivers have "home field advantage" for this one, and the racing will be intense.
Rob MacCachren is currently fifth in points and finished on the podium at last month's season opener at Firebird Raceway in Arizona. This weekend, MacCachren will be looking to put his 800+ horsepower Rockstar Makita Ford truck on top of the podium in the Pro 2 class. However, it will not be easy as he'll be facing the defending Pro 2 champ, Rockstar Metal Mulisha Makita’s Brian Deegan. Deegan currently sits sixth in the Pro 2 points standings and is coming off of a second place finish last month at Firebird. Deegan is also the defending champ in the Pro Lite division and will be looking to make a statement this weekend by bringing home a victory.
Todd LeDuc has been a model of consistency so far this season while competing in the Pro 4 class in his Rockstar Makita Ford truck. The reigning "Rookie of the Year" already has two podium finishes under his belt and is currently third in points. Todd will be looking for his first Pro 4 victory this weekend and would love to do it in front of his home crowd at Lake Elsinore.
If you are in Southern California, you will not want to miss watching the LOORRS action live and in person from the purpose-built grandstands at the all-new Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park. If you cannot attend the race, then be sure to catch all of the action on NBC Sports, SPEED Channel, and MavTV. Check your local listings for air times.
