Keep guards in place and in working order.

Keep workarea well lit. Do not expose power tools to rain. Do not use tools or chargers
in presence of flammable liquids or gases.

All visitors should be kept awayfrom workarea.
Store idle tools.
When not in use,tools should be stored high or locked up out of reach
Use the right tool.
Do not force a small tool or attachment to do the job of a heavy
dutytool. Do not use tool or accessories for purpose not intended. Onlyuse proper,
recommended accessories for the tool being used.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. They can be caught in moving
parts. Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.
Use safety glasses whenever operating any tool.
Makita safetygoggles and
glasses are available (part no.191686-2,191684-Aand 191685-A). Also use face or dust
maskif operation is dusty.
Don’t abuse cord.
Never carrytool bycord or yankit to disconnect from receptacle.
Use clamps or a vise to hold workpiece. It can be safer and it frees both
hands to operate and control tool.
Maintain tools with care.
Keep tools sharp and clean for best and safest performance.
Follow instructions for lubrication and changing accessories.
When not in use,before servicing,and when changing accessories.
Remove adjusting keys and wrenches. Form a habit of checking to see that keys and
adjusting wrenches are removed from tool before turning it on.
Avoid unintentional starting.
Don’t carryplugged-in tool with finger on switch. Be
sure switch is OFF when plugging in.
Outdoor use extension cords.
When tool is used outdoors,use onlyextension cords
intended for use outdoors and so marked.
Guard against electric shock.
Prevent bodycontact with grounded surfaces. For
example: pipes,radiators,ranges and refrigerator enclosures.
When servicing,use onlygenuine Makita replacement parts.
Never leave tool running unattended.
Turn power off. Don’t leave tool until it
comes to a complete stop.
EveryMakita tool is thoroughlyinspected and tested before leaving the factory.If you
are not satisfied with anyMakita tool within 30 days of purchase,return it and Makita
will provide,at Makita’s option,a replacement or refund. Each Makita tool is
warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for the
period of ONEYEARfrom the date of original purchase. Should any
trouble develop during the one-year period,return the COMPLETEtool,
freight prepaid,to one of Makita’s Factoryor Authorized Service Centers.
If inspection shows the trouble is caused bydefective workmanship or
material,Makita will repair (or at our option,replace) without charge.
EveryMakita® Lithium-Ion Industrial Power Tool is thoroughlyinspected and tested
before leaving the factory. If you are not satisfied with anyMakita Lithium-Ion tool
within 30 days of purchase,return it and Makita will provide,at Makita’s option,a
replacement or refund.Each Makita Lithium-Ion tool is warranted to be free of defects
from workmanship and materials for the period of THREEYEARS from the date of
original purchase. The Makita Lithium-Ion batteryhas a limited ONEYEAR
warranty. Should anytrouble develop during the three-year period for the
Lithium-Ion tool and during the one-year period for the Lithium-Ion
battery,return the COMPLETEtool and or battery,freight prepaid,to one

• Repairs have been made or attempted by others
• Repairs are required because of normal wear and tear
• The tool has been abused,misused or improperly maintained

In no event shall Makita be liable for (A) anyindirect,incidental,punitive or
consequential damages arising from the sale or use of the products sold hereunder,or
(B) anyamount in excess of the amount actuallypaid to Makita for the products sold
hereunder for anyliabilityarising from the sale or use of the products sold hereunder.
This limitation applies both during and after the terms of the warranty.
Makita disclaims liabilityfor anyimplied warranties,including implied warranties of
“Merchantability”and“Fitness for a specific purpose,”after the one-year term and three-
year term for qualifying Lithium-Ion models of this warranty.
This warrantygives you specific legal rights,and you mayalso have other rights which
varyfrom state to state.Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages,so the above limitation or exclusion maynot apply
to you.Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warrantylasts,so the
above limitation maynot applyto you.
